In addition to our regular programming, the Harbor Theater works with other non-profits in the area to bring cultural and educational films to the public.
In 2019, The Boothbay Region Land Trust, The Boothbay Region Health Center, Action for Animals, The Knickerbocker Association, The Uganda Project and others rented the theater to show educational films.
We also show special films such as The Weight of Water (blind kayaker in Grand Canyon) and We Were an Island (Maine-made film with director) to enrich the theater-going experience for our audience.
Students from the Boothbay Region Elementary School attended three movies related to their curriculum, sponsored by the Boothbay Harbor Rotary Foundation.
