As we launch our annual appeal, we’re shining a light on the heart of Harbor Theater’s mission: accessible, community-centered programming for all ages.
With your support, we’ve built a space where families, students, seniors, and neighbors of every background can gather, learn, laugh, and experience the magic of film together. This year alone, one in four moviegoers attended a free program—something made possible only through community generosity.
Here’s a glimpse of what donor support helped us achieve this past year:
- 5 Free Family Films sponsored by the Towns of Boothbay, Boothbay Harbor & Southport, serving 408 attendees
- 311 people enjoyed Free Family Passes for opening-night screenings of first-run films
- 11 local organizations partnered with us to present special event screenings, drawing an additional 461 attendees
- 9 school-day screenings, sponsored by the BBH Rotary Club, welcoming 880 local students
- 29 total free films, reaching 2,540 community members — 25% of our total audience this year
