From award-winning creator Julian Fellowes comes the new film, DOWNTON ABBEY: A NEW ERA (set in the years 1928-29). The much-anticipated cinematic return of the global phenomenon reunites the beloved cast as they go on a grand journey to the South of France to uncover the mystery of the Dowager Countess’ newly inherited villa. There’s also a celebration as widower Tom Branson and maid Lucy Smith get married at Downton Abbey. And word has it that Lady Mary decides to make a “motion picture” at the grand estate…”the modern era comes to Downton,” she says.
